Fibroids may lead to a range of symptoms that can be both uncomfortable and painful.

WHAT ARE FIBROIDS?

-benign growths in the uterus that can vary in size, ranging from small seed-like forms to large masses.

POTENTIAL CAUSES

- genetics

- hormones (estrogen dominance)

- vitamin D deficiency

- unhealthy liver (unable to detoxify estrogen)

- birth control pill

 - low fiber intake

SYMPTOMS

- heavy/painful menses

- bleeding/spotting between your menstrual cycle

- constipation

- infertility

- miscarriages

- pressure or pain in the pelvic region

LIFESTYLE/DIET MODIFICATION

- reduce xenoestrogens from plastics, cosmetics, household products and personal body care/skin care products

- acupuncture

- avoid sugar, caffeine, and processed foods (gluten free)

- increase fruits and vegetables (consuming a diet rich in broccoli and brussels sprouts can aid in breaking down potentially harmful estrogens).

- increase fiber (clears excess estrogen)

- drink more green tea

- exercise

- eliminate alcohol

HERBALS

- vitex berries ( balances hormones)

- dandelion root (detoxes liver)

- burdock root (cleans liver and blood)

- sprouted broccoli ( clears excess estrogen and supports liver- high sulfur content)

SUPPLEMENTS

- fish oil

- vitamin D

- broccogen ( sprouted broccoli)

- nattokinase (protolytic enzyme that breaks down most type of growths, cleans the lymphatics and blood)
